"Okay Ladies, Now Let's Get in Formation"

He proposed, you said yes. Now what?

It’s time to summon your squad. Here are some fun ways you can ask your attendants to be a part of your special day:

Ol’ Reliable:

This complex method has almost a 100-percent chance of success. Who would actually say ‘no’ if you straight-up ask them in person? Probably no one. Face-to-face, woman-to-woman, gimmicks aside –

“Yo, I need someone to hold my dress and keep me sane.”

Make it Personal:

When you just can’t find the right words, buy a gift instead. Get them something practical they can use at the wedding. A tote, makeup bag or robe with their name on it makes for some really neat pre-wedding candid photos.

“I can’t say ‘I do’ without you.”

Twin Bling:

I mean you got new jewelry; it’s only fair that you spread the love, right? Get all your bridesmaids coordinating jewelry to wear at the wedding and include a cute card asking to be a bridesmaid. You could get really cute and impractical and get everyone matching friendship bracelets – this would be super cute if you were all friends in grade school and actually had friendship bracelets (see “Throwback”)

“I got new bling, it’s only fair that you do too.”

Modern Bride:

Sweet Treat:

Who doesn’t love cupcakes? Personalize a cake, cupcake, cookies or anything frost-able and decorate with “Will you be my bridesmaid?” Easy AND edible! Depending on the personalities of your bridesmaids, put together a little care package (champagne or wine included) with a note:

“It’s my turn to POP the question.”

Throwback:

Memories are priceless. Tug at those heartstrings with a throwback box of all the things you enjoyed doing together when you first met. Frame an old photo or write a note and fold it into a little triangle like you used to pass to each other in school. Extra points if you include a mixed tape.

“Best friends through thick and thin, I need you like tonic needs gin.”
